How you get paid
Getting paid on Preloved Bazaar is simple. You connect a free Stripe account, and Stripe sends your earnings straight to your bank. There’s nothing to install and no fees to set up your account.
Where you can sell from
Selling is available to sellers based in the UK, the United States, Canada and the EU. We’re expanding to more regions where Stripe operates, opening over time.
No selling commission
There’s no Preloved Bazaar selling commission — we don’t take a cut of your sale. You’re paid the item price plus postage in your own currency, with a payment-processing fee (via Stripe) deducted from each payout (reversed if the order is refunded). Buyers pay a small “Preloved Protection” fee of 50p + 5% of the item, which funds buyer protection and keeps every sale safe for both sides — and which is refunded in full if the order is refunded.
How holding (escrow) works
When you make a sale, your payment is held securely in escrow rather than paid out instantly. This protects both you and the buyer. Here’s how it’s released:
- Add tracking to your order (mark it as shipped) when you post the item.
- A short holding window passes.
- Your money is then released to your Stripe account, and Stripe pays it out to your bank.
When your money is released
The holding window depends on your seller status:
- Standard sellers: about 7 business days.
- Trusted sellers: about 3 business days.
You become a trusted seller after 10 completed shipments — so the more you sell and ship, the faster your payouts arrive.
Buyer protection and why tracking matters
Buyer protection keeps Preloved Bazaar a place people trust to shop. If an item doesn’t arrive or isn’t as described, the buyer may receive a refund.
This is also why adding tracking promptly is so important. Adding tracking when you post the item is what starts your payout timer. And if a seller doesn’t add tracking within 7 days of the sale, the buyer is automatically refunded. So always add tracking as soon as you’ve sent your item — it gets you paid sooner and keeps your sale protected.
