Legal
Welcome to the Preloved Bazaar legal centre. This page brings together the documents that govern how Preloved Bazaar works, what you can expect from us, and how we look after your money and your data. Please read the ones relevant to you before you buy, sell or otherwise use the Platform.
Preloved Bazaar is a global marketplace for preloved South Asian, desi, modest and wedding fashion. We provide a venue that connects people who want to sell items they already own with people who want to buy them. When you buy on Preloved Bazaar, your contract of sale is directly with the individual selling the item — we are not the seller. To make that safe, every purchase comes with our contractual buyer-protection scheme, Preloved Protection, summarised below.
Our legal documents
Terms of Use
The main agreement between you and Preloved Bazaar. It explains who we are, how accounts work (every account can both buy and sell), the rules for listing items, how a sale forms a contract directly between Buyer and Seller, payments and fees, how we hold money in escrow and when sellers are paid, shipping, Preloved Protection, refunds, your tax responsibilities, and the rules of conduct on the Platform.
Read the Terms of Use.
Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, store and share your personal data, the lawful bases we rely on, and your rights under UK data-protection law. This includes how Stripe processes your payments as an independent controller, and the seller information we may be required to report to HM Revenue & Customs under the UK’s digital-platform reporting rules where and when those rules apply.

Preloved Protection — buyer protection on every order
Because purchases on Preloved Bazaar are private consumer-to-consumer sales, the statutory protections that apply when you buy new goods from a shop do not automatically apply. So we give every Buyer a contractual protection scheme instead: Preloved Protection, funded by the Buyer Protection fee shown at checkout.
It covers you in two situations — an item that does not arrive, and an item that arrives not as described. We hold your payment securely while the sale completes, so if something goes wrong we can put it right from the held funds rather than leaving you to chase a private seller. If a Seller does not respond to a problem within 48 hours, the dispute is ruled in the Buyer’s favour. And if a Seller never ships an item, the Buyer is automatically refunded in full on day 7.
The full terms of Preloved Protection — what it covers, how to report a problem, how disputes are decided and its limits — are set out in section 8 of our Terms of Use.
Read about Preloved Protection in the Terms of Use.

Complaints
If something has gone wrong, we want to put it right. For a problem with an order — an item that has not arrived or is not as described — the quickest route is to open a problem report from your order so Preloved Protection can resolve it (see section 8 of the Terms of Use). For anything else, including a complaint about the Platform itself, email us at hello@prelovedbazaar.co.uk with the details and we will look into it and respond. Where it helps to resolve your complaint, please include your account email and any order number.
