Set your postage when you list
When you list an item, you choose a flat postage price that the buyer pays on top of the item price. You’re in control: set it to whatever covers your posting costs, and it’s shown clearly to buyers before they buy.
Want to sweeten the deal? Set your postage to 0 for free postage — it shows as “Free shipping” and can make your listing more tempting to buyers browsing for their next preloved find.
Selling internationally
Your buyers can be anywhere in the world, so it’s worth thinking about whether you’re happy to post abroad.
- Tick “Ship this item internationally”, then choose one way to price it:
- Worldwide — one flat international postage price for everywhere. Set it to 0 for free international postage.
- Specific regions — a price per continent (Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Oceania). Leave a region blank and your item simply won’t ship there.
- Leave the box unticked and your item ships within your own country only.
It’s entirely up to you. If you’d rather keep things simple and post locally, just leave the box unticked.
What buyers pay
It depends where your buyer is:
- Buyers in your own country pay your standard postage.
- Buyers abroad are charged your worldwide rate — or your rate for their region — at checkout (if you’ve enabled international shipping).
- Buyers in a region you don’t ship to won’t be able to buy the item — it won’t be offered to them.
Buyers always see the full cost up front
No surprises, for you or your buyer. Your postage appears in a clear price breakdown — item price, protection fee, shipping and total — both on your listing and in the buyer’s Bag before they check out. So buyers always know exactly what they’re paying before they commit.
