If a sale is showing as pending rather than paid, don’t worry — your money is safe. “Pending” simply means it hasn’t been released yet, and there are usually one of two reasons why.
1. You haven’t added tracking yet
The holding window only starts once you’ve marked the item as shipped and entered a tracking number. If you’ve sold an item but not posted it or not added the tracking, the payout will sit as pending until you do. As soon as the tracking is in, the clock starts counting.
2. Your Stripe account isn’t fully connected
Payouts are sent to your connected Stripe account, so it needs to be fully set up. If you haven’t finished Stripe onboarding — or Stripe still needs a detail from you — your funds are held safely in the meantime and released to you once your account is complete.
What to do
- Check the order and add tracking if you haven’t already.
- Go to the Payments area and make sure your Stripe setup shows as complete; finish any outstanding steps if not.
- Then simply wait for the holding window to pass.
Good to know
- Pending never means your money is lost — it’s held and will be released once everything’s in place.
- If both conditions are already met, the payout is just working through its normal holding window.
