Your payment is held safely by Preloved Bazaar until two things have happened: you’ve sent the item, and a short holding window has passed. After that, the money is released to your connected Stripe account.
The two conditions
- Tracking is added. You mark the item as shipped and enter a carrier and tracking number. This starts the clock — nothing counts down before this.
- The holding window passes. The standard window is 10 working days, counted Monday to Friday.
How the days are counted
Working days mean Monday to Friday only — weekends don’t count, and neither do UK bank holidays. So a window that starts just before a bank-holiday weekend will take a little longer in calendar terms than one that starts mid-week.
What happens at the end
- The funds are transferred to your connected Stripe account.
- The order is automatically marked as completed.
- From there, Stripe pays the money out to your bank on its usual schedule.
Good to know
- Established sellers can have a shorter window — see “Faster payouts for established sellers”.
- If your payout is showing as pending, see “Why is my payout pending?”
- The window protects buyers while their item is in transit, and assures you the funds are waiting.
