How can we help you?

Reviews and ratings

Reviews are how the Preloved Bazaar community builds trust. After an order is completed, the buyer and the seller can review each other — so honest feedback flows both ways.

How reviews work

  • Reviews are mutual: the buyer can review the seller, and the seller can review the buyer.
  • You can leave a review once an order is completed — you’ll find the prompt on the order.
  • A review is 1 to 5 stars, with optional written feedback.
  • You can leave one review per order, and reviews are published straight away.

Where ratings show

A person’s reviews add up to an overall star rating shown on their store and profile, so buyers and sellers can see at a glance how others have found dealing with them.

If the same person reviews you for several orders in the same week, those reviews count as one rating in your star score. Every review still appears in your list — this just stops one busy week with one person from outweighing everyone else.

Replying to a review

  • If someone reviews you, you can post one public reply — to say thank you, or to calmly give your side.
  • Reply from your profile: on the website, open your Profile and scroll to Your reviews; in the app, open the Profile tab and find Your reviews. Tap Reply under the review.
  • Your reply shows under the review on your store and on the order. Replies can be up to 500 characters.
  • You can edit your reply at any time — it will show as Edited.
  • If you delete your reply, it’s gone for good and you can’t reply to that review again.
  • The person who reviewed you gets a notification when you reply.

What’s not allowed in reviews and replies

  • Personal information — names, addresses, postcodes, phone numbers or email addresses.
  • Links or contact details — websites, social media handles (including @usernames) or requests to talk or pay off Preloved Bazaar. Keeping everything here is what keeps you covered by Buyer Protection.
  • Hate, harassment or abuse of any kind.
  • Fake or pressuring reviews — reviews that aren’t about a real order, or that are used to threaten, pressure or bargain with someone.

Reviews and replies that include links, contact details or addresses can’t be posted. We remove reviews and replies that break these rules — but not reviews that are simply negative.

Reporting a review

If a review or a reply breaks these rules, you can report it: tap the Report flag on the review (or Report reply under a reply), pick a reason and add a short note. You’ll need to be logged in. Reports are private — the person isn’t told who reported them — and every report is read by our team. If a review is about you and you simply disagree with it, the best thing to do is reply publicly and calmly.

A gentle nudge

A few days after an order completes, we’ll email both sides a reminder to leave a review — you can turn these off under Settings ▸ Account ▸ Email preferences if you’d rather not receive them.

Reviewing well

  • Be fair and factual — describe how the sale actually went.
  • If something went wrong with an order, it’s usually best to sort it out first (open the order and use Report a problem) before leaving a review.
  • Keep it respectful. Offensive or abusive reviews can be reported and removed.
