Every order on Preloved Bazaar includes a small Preloved Protection fee. It’s worked out the same way every time, so you always know what to expect.
The formula
The fee is £0.50 plus 5% of the item price. The 5% is based on the item itself — postage is not included in the calculation, even though postage still appears separately in your order total.
A worked example
Say you buy a piece priced at £40, with £3.99 postage:
- 5% of £40 = £2.00
- Plus the fixed £0.50
- Preloved Protection = £2.50
Your order summary would then read:
- Subtotal: £40.00
- Postage: £3.99
- Preloved Protection: £2.50
- Total: £46.49
Notice the £3.99 postage doesn’t change the protection fee — the 5% is only ever taken on the £40 item.

- The fee is shown clearly before you pay, so there’s nothing hidden.
- It applies per order, in pounds sterling (GBP).
