What if the seller never ships?

Sometimes life gets in the way and a seller doesn’t post an item. If that happens to you as a buyer, you’re protected — you won’t be left out of pocket, and you don’t have to chase anyone to get your money back.

How the protection works

  • Your payment is held safely by Preloved Bazaar from the moment you check out — it’s never sent straight to the seller.
  • If the seller hasn’t marked the item as shipped, we send them a reminder around day 5 to nudge them to post it.
  • If there’s still no tracking by day 7, you’re automatically refunded to your original payment method and the order is cancelled. You don’t need to request it.

What you need to do

Nothing, in most cases — the refund happens on its own if no tracking appears. It’s worth keeping an eye on your order, and you’re always welcome to message the seller, but the safety net works whether or not you do.

Good to know

  • This protection applies no matter how far along the seller is with setting up their payout account.
  • If the seller does ship but the item arrives not as described, that’s covered separately by Preloved Protection — report a problem instead.
  • The refund goes back to the card or payment method you used at checkout.
