We like to keep things clear and fair. Here’s exactly what you pay on Preloved Bazaar — whether you’re buying or selling.
If you’re buying
The only fee buyers pay is the Preloved Protection fee: £0.50 plus 5% of the item price (postage isn’t included in the calculation). It’s added at checkout and shown clearly as “Preloved Protection” in your order summary, so you always know the full cost before you pay.
That fee is what funds your protection — a refund if your item isn’t as described, your payment held securely until delivery, and support if something goes wrong. And if your order is refunded, the Preloved Protection fee is refunded in full too.

Buying from a seller in another country? Prices are shown in the seller’s currency, and your own bank or card issuer converts to your currency at their rate — exactly like any overseas purchase. We don’t add a currency-conversion or FX fee, and we don’t convert prices ourselves. Any customs or import duties on an international order are charged by your own country and paid on delivery — they’re not a Preloved Bazaar fee.
If you’re selling
- No listing fee. It’s free to list your items — put up as many as you like without paying to do so.
- No Preloved Bazaar selling fee. We don’t take a commission on your sale.
- You’re paid in your own currency — the item price plus the postage the buyer paid. The buyer’s Preloved Protection fee is separate and is never taken from your earnings.
- A payment-processing fee (charged by our payment processor, Stripe) is deducted from your payout, the same as on any card platform. In the UK it’s 2.9% + £0.30 per sale; in the US it’s 3.3% + $0.45. If an order is refunded, this fee is reversed.

Your earnings are paid out securely to your connected Stripe account, in your own currency, once an order completes.
